Brass Shoe Repair & Products
Brass is a shoe repair shop based in Tokyo Japan. Guys come from all parts of Tokyo to have them resole their shoes. Though, when you consider the price of American made leather footwear in Japan, a few hundred dollars isn’t that crazy. Brass also sells a good selection of re-crafted footwear from many of the fine brands that they specialize in reconditioning. Hit "Read more" to see pictures of the shop.

Choward's
C. Howard Company Inc. was started by Charles Howard, of New York City in the early 1930's. Mr. Howard , in search for a "unique and different flavored candy", concocted a delightful confectionary mint called, "Choward's Violet", in a small industrial loft on Broadway.
His first retailing experience was selling "Choward's Violet" on the street corners in Manhattan, where the product's reputation grew. Mr. Howard then introduced to New Yorkers a purple colored gum tablet, and named it "Choward's Scented Gum". In years to come, Charles Howard expanded his candy line to include Choward's Peppermints, Spearmints, and Lemon Mints.
Upon the passing of Mr. Howard, the company carried on under the leadership of Elizabeth Juhase, a long time valued employee. In the 1970's, Elizabeth enlisted the help of her nephews, who to this day operate the company as a family concern. The company continues to manufacture the original line of quality products started by Mr. Charles Howard. These products are now sold through out much of the United States as well as Bermuda and Puerto Rico. Hit read more to see the rest of the products.

Part of the lounge is designated as the game-room where you will find chess, backgammon, checkers and custom-made sets of dominoes. Fixed-Gear
A fixed-gear bicycle (or fixed-wheel bicycle, fixie) is a bicycle that has no freewheel, meaning it cannot coast, as the pedals are always in motion when the bicycle is moving. The sprocket, or cog, is threaded or bolted directly to a fixed rear hub. When the rear wheel turns, the pedals turn in the same direction. This allows a cyclist to stop without using a brake, by resisting the rotation of the cranks, and also to ride in reverse.
In urban North America fixed-gear bicycles have achieved tremendous popularity, with the rise of discernible regional aesthetic preferences for finish and design details. Dedicated fixed-gear road bicycles are being produced in greater numbers by established bicycle manufacturers. They are generally low in price and characterized by relaxedroad geometry, as opposed to the steep geometry of track bicycles.
One of the main attractions of a fixed gear bicycle is low weight. Without the added parts required for a fully geared drive train, a fixed gear bicycle will weigh significantly less than its geared equivalent. Also, a fixed gear drivetrain is more mechanically efficient than any other bicycle drivetrain, with the most direct power transfer from rider to the wheels. Thus, a fixed gear will require less energy in any given gear to move than a geared bike in the same gear. Hit read more to see a few more styles of fixed-gear bikes.
